Ultrasound Guided Carpal Tunnel Release

At Orthopedics Hawaii, ultrasound imaging can be used to see the bone, ligaments, tendons, and nerves in real-time. Ultrasound-guided procedures such as Carpal Tunnel release and Trigger Digit release are possible in the office with only local anesthetic.

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Chen is the only person in Hawaii and 1 of 3 surgeons on the West Coast performing this procedure. Dr. Chen's early association with the US Carpal Tunnel surgery originates from a close association with the specialists at Mayo Clinic. We began this in 2017 before any other major city or university.

In addition to Oahu residents, we have patients fly in from the neighboring islands and the US mainland for the procedure.
